You can now buy things in my shop!!!

Hello lovelies!

Have you all had a nice weekend? Mine has been spent:

  • Drawing
  • Drawing
  • Rubbing out
  • Re-drawing
  • Firing (Crockery. In the oven. I haven't sacked Tom as our home's Head Chef)
  • Writing item listings for my shop
  • Swearing at Etsy for continuously not playing ball.
  • Did I mention drawing?

Sadly, I was not being watched by The World's Creepiest Doll whilst doing so.

But, I've finally done it; my little Etsy shop is now up and running and actually has things in it! HURRAH! And, also, eeeep!

Please do pop over and let me know what you think. I'm a little worried everything looks too homemade (i.e. like the macaroni-and-glitter-encrusted "craft projects" toddlers have clamped in their sticky little fists when they come home from nursery school) but there's only one way to find out if everyone else feels the same.

There are currently seven(!) items for sale in my shop. I'm planning to see how they're received before posting any more, and I'm hoping to also introduce some cross-stitch samplers over the next few months. Watch this space!

  1. LOVE love love! It looks very professional, not like macaroni and glitter at all (although I would totally buy that) xx

  2. They're fantastic! Particularly loving the Owl plate and purple Octopus mug! Please, Please, PLEASE can you do a mug with "Release the Kraken" actually written on it??? That would be so awesome! Have very fond memories of that film :-)

    1. I'm sure I could do a kraken mug, no problem! Need to stock up on some more mugs first- but that's a good excuse to do some shopping if ever I heard one!

  3. Oooh the owl is proper cute! I'd buy a mug with a dalek saying, "If I don't get my cup of tea, you will be exterminated!"

  4. I forgot to say, they do look professional and well-made but if I were to offer constructive advice (just because I know you asked for it), the designs look great, but in that shot of the octopus (whether lighting or reflections or not?) the purple looks a little uneven but maybe actually that's part of the handmade appeal. (Just trying to be helpful!!!! I love the octopus still! cringe, cringe, cringe...)

  5. Actually, totally went and scrutinized the purple octopus and it is totally part of the homemade appeal! Emma Bridgewater mugs are just like that! It's only that photo. Not in the other purple shots!
(Ahrgh, was trying to be helpful and now feel overly-picky!!!!! It's just when I handpainted a mug, I got really obsessive over an uneven patch in my design and kept going over and over it and so it's something I just had a thing about!!) I think I need to go to bed and stop digging a hole!x

    1. It is rather patchy- I spent ages going over and over like you but eventually decided that it was the handmade look and that was that :p I'm always happy to get constructive feedback though- thank you (and I still love you, don't worry! :p) I wanted to make sure the patchiness showed in the photos so any prospective customers weren't disappointed with a patchy octopus :p
