Three Things Tuesday

Hey m'dears

Please excuse me, but I'm feeling quite quiet this week. Perhaps I've selfishly used up ALL THE WORDS without realising?! Sorry. Here are three good things making me grin:

1. Disney Genius
This video has already gone viral, but I only discovered it at the weekend. If you haven't watched it yet, please do, it's absolutely brilliant.

2. Home cooking
You know that phrase "A way to a man's heart is through his stomach"? Well, it's, like, totally not true and sexist and stuff because the way to my heart is also through my stomach (and I am not a man). My oesophagus is actually a fairground Tunnel of Love.

I closed one eye whilst Googling "Tunnel of Love": you never know
what the internet is going to try and show you!

I spent Sunday afternoon catching up with two of my oldest girlfriends- we've been friends since before we could talk! Obviously we're all making up for it now, and love nothing more than an afternoon putting the world to rights (summary- free cake, and magic pixies who do the dusting). I thought I loved them as much as I possibly could already, but managed to find room for a little more love when I was presented with a lunch comprised of one of the tastiest jacket potatoes of my life and a mini Le Creuset casserole dish stuffed full of cheese that was ALL FOR ME.

I swear when I lifted the lid off the casserole dish I heard angels singing.

3. Placquiosaurus
I currently spend about 39 hours a day on Pinterest, pinning Awesome Things that I want to make/eat/live in/have the abs to pull off. Other people seem to be doing the same, and I love sharing things I've found with them and vice versa. It's definitely a warm-and-fuzzy-feeling inducing thing when people send you something they thought you'd appreciate. Case in point, the lovely Claire (my most recent giveaway winner) sent me a link to this guy:

He's definitely going straight to the top of my To Craft list!!

  2. When my Mum was little her parents told her (presumably to shut her up) that if she used all the words up that she wouldn't have any left for when she was grown up. I think it mostly did the trick but she was very worried (as they didn't specify how many words there were to use) that she'd run out right when she needed to call an ambulance or something.

    1. I'm not surprised- what a terrifying thought! I have definitely used over my quota already. Will have to spend the rest of my life being extra careful that I don't have a medical emergency. xx

  5. I'm on a self imposed Pinterest ban - its's too much of time suck! I really want to see how you manage to cut holes in a plastic dino - we have tons of these from Boy1's prehistoric phase.

    1. My plan is basically to drill lots of holes next to each other until they become a toothbrush-sized slot. However, I will be asking Tom to help me out and he may have some smarter ideas, seeing as he actually owns and uses tools on a daily basis. I'll let you know how I get on! xx
