I find we always spend longer at "family-friendly" places than people with kids do :p Perhaps because we have (slightly) longer attention spans? :) xxHook, Line and Sink Herhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15468955562891105625noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1086901412370053530.post-35243475369700374922013-06-03T12:47:30.249+01:002013-06-03T12:47:30.249+01:00Yay I went to Edinburgh last year for my birthday,...Yay I went to Edinburgh last year for my birthday, it was awesome! Trip Advisor had suggested we'd be there half an hour tops if we were a family, but we got so carried away looking at all the bits and pieces we missed our slot for the actual camera bit! Luckily they were understanding and rescheduled us. And we were both 21 at the time, so it's definitely not just for kids. It's about £12 to get in which again, trip advisor says is pricey but I don't think it's too bad!Littlest Daffodilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12178718230110394653noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1086901412370053530.post-77254432597807001812013-05-31T21:58:14.617+01:002013-05-31T21:58:14.617+01:00Thank you so much for all the tops- the Money Muse...Thank you so much for all the tops- the Money Museum sounds brilliant, as does the Greyfriars Kirkyard :) xxHook, Line and Sink Herhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15468955562891105625noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1086901412370053530.post-42017281946949702012013-05-30T23:38:10.136+01:002013-05-30T23:38:10.136+01:00For something a bit quirky - the Museum on the Mou...For something a bit quirky - the Museum on the Mound (aka the Money Musuem) is actually quite a laugh; it's all about our pounds, shillings and pence and best of all, it's completely free!

If it's nice weather, a short bus ride away to the East is Portobello beach, miles and miles of golden sand and a promenade to stroll along.

There's lots and lots of charity shops along Nicolson Street into Clerk Street.

And Greyfriars Kirkyard is free to wander around during the day, lots of old gravestones, mausoleums and the tribute to Greyfriars Bobby.

Edinburgh is fabulous, especially during Festival season (I'm counting down the days til I go again in August!) - you'll have a great time whatever you do! Have fun! :-) xduck in a dresshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08471749818455756871noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1086901412370053530.post-19579702668537759182013-05-30T23:24:59.279+01:002013-05-30T23:24:59.279+01:00oOOOH, so exciting!!!!
