I broke the rule...

We have three rules in our house. From September, there will be a fourth rule, because we're getting oak floorboards laid throughout our ground floor. That rule will be TAKE OFF YOUR SHOES OR DIE. I'm seriously considering throwing a Shoes On Party at the end of August, because it'll be the last time our guests can properly make themselves at home and spill/smear stuff on our manky old carpets.

The three rules are as follows:

1. All guests must eat something tasty or they cannot leave.
We implemented this one together, because we both love feeding people.

2. No more wallpaper in the house
Tom made this rule after the hassle of hanging my Cath Kidston rip-off wallpaper in the dining room. I don't know what right he's got to fuss about it though; his Dad hung it for us!

3. No cooking meth.
I made this rule after we started watching Breaking Bad.

For the first time ever, one of those rules has been broken. It's hardly my fault though! I mean, it turns out I can totally pull off a yellow jumpsuit would you feast your eyes on this(!):

Jurassic wallpaper from Albany's Young at Heart range
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually showed what I feel was incredible restraint, and resisted adding this to my cart for AT LEAST 20 minutes. While I racked my brains for any craft projects I could do which would justify the purchasing of a roll of wallpaper. Thankfully, inspiration finally struck. I will, of course, reveal all the minute that it is finished!

I'm off to sit impatiently by the letter box until this arrives, while keeping one eye on Tom to make sure he doesn't spend all weekend in the shed in just an apron and his pants.

    1. You could get a dolls house? The dino print would be a bit oversized but it would be in proportion with the dolls :) xxx

    1. I am SO excited about floorboards. But also a bit scared about scratching them on day 1 in a really obvious place. I'm just going to have to buy a lot of rugs!! xxx P.S. You do know me rather well now, don't you? :)

    1. Thank you - they seem to work for us. Much better than all that "No swearing, no talking with your mouth full, no pyjamas at the dinner table" nonsense :p xxx

    1. You could always cover some bits of wood/canvas and lean them against the wall? Dinosaurs are timeless- I'm 26 and love them more than ever! :) xxx
